How to automatically archive your Fitbit data (steps, calories) in a Google Docs spreadsheet

Step-by-Step Tutorial: We show you how to set up an automation that stores your Fitbit data (steps, calories, etc.) in a Google spreadsheet. It takes two minutes, the required service is for free.

  1. Register for free at Conrad Connect! All you need is a valid email address.
  2. Now log in, then navigate to the Fitbit device page connect your Fitbit account to Conrad connect.
  3. Do the same for your Google Account, so Conrad Connect can write to your Fitbit data to your Google drive.
  4. Still being logged in, import my project My Fitbit archive in Google.

  1. Select the right parameters (steps, calories, distance) and finalize the import. You can define the file name of your Google sheet in the righthand configuration settings. Once you save the project, Google starts tracking your data.

  2. Your Google spread sheet is ready and working. Check your Google Drive.

  3. As soon as you have collected the first data, you can create your first diagram. Simply click Insert/Diagram and get the magic done.

  1. If you want to add more parameters, go to your projects, open your project again, and select the respective sensors from the left hand side. Just drag and drop to the project editor.
